AN AMAZING local project needs your readers’ support to win in the National Lottery Awards 2017, the annual search for the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects.
Creating Connections supports the mental health of single parents through self-management groups in Newport and Cardiff. It is competing to be named Best Health project, win a £5,000 prize and see its name in lights at a special BBC One show in September, which I’m delighted to be hosting.
The National Lottery Awards celebrate and recognise the inspirational and life-changing impact of National Lottery funded projects. Each week National Lottery players raise more than £30 million for arts, sport, heritage and community projects across the UK.
Voting is simple; go to lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards or tweet or retweet a message using the project’s hashtag #NLACreatingC on Twitter.
Having won Strictly Come Dancing voting last year, I know how much getting public support means.
Please take a few seconds to vote for Creating Connections. Go on, put a smile on their faces! Voting closes at midnight on Thursday 27 July.
