CHILDREN from a Torfaen nursery school said a fond farewell to pre-school at a special graduation ceremony.
Ysgol Feithrin Pontypwl, held their first ever graduation ceremony for the 11 four-year-olds who will be moving on in September.
The children at the ceremony held on Friday, July 21, sang a collection of Welsh songs and were presented with a certificate, a medal and a hand printed picture by Pontypool ward councillor, Gaynor James.
Nursery leader, Helen Greenwood, said: “We’re very grateful to our parent committee for their support in making this special ceremony possible.”
The centre was set up in 1979 as a Welsh Medium registered nursery and works with schools and organisations in the community. The nursery is now a full day care setting and had 30 children on roll last year.
