THE popular Steelhouse Festival held in the heart of Ebbw Vale is set to return this year for the seventh time running.

Last year the event saw 11,000 people attend over the two-day event.

Headlining this year is the award-winning Skindred, popular for their music which mixes rock, reggae and heavy metal.

The Newport band have previously been voted as Best Live Band at the 2011 UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards and were given the Devotion Award at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards.

Labelled the Newport Destroyers, Skindred are set to perform yet another electric performance this Saturday.

Also among the headliners is Saxon, whose performance at Steelhouse will be their only festival appearance this summer. Their success headlining in 2013 has led to them returning to the festival this Sunday.

Other bands performing on Saturday include: Last in Line, Monster Truck, Inglorious. On Sunday, the bands playing include: Rival Sons, British Lion and King King among others.

Day tickets cost £50, with weekend and camping tickets costing £85 and £20 respectively. Those with live-in vehicles will have to pay £20. Arena entry will be free for children aged 14 and under, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Children also require a camping ticket to stay on the campsite.

Parking is free with a valid festival ticket.
