One person taken to hospital after two car crash in Newport

A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital following a crash between two vehicles in Newport.
The incident happened along Corporation Road, near Lysaghts Park, at around 8.30pm this evening.
Police monitored traffic flow each ways while ambulance crews attended the scene.
A Welsh Ambulance spokesman confirmed that one ambulance was in attendance and that a patient had been taken to hospital.
The severity of the injuries is unknown at this time.
