SUMMER signing Gavin Henson has been rested for the Dragons’ penultimate pre-season friendly at Aviva Premiership champions Exeter Chiefs tomorrow (3.30pm).

Head coach Bernard Jackman and his troops head to Sandy Park in Devon looking to move on from last weekend’s defeats to Montpellier and Northampton Saints.

The WRU-owned Dragons shipped 111 points across those warm-up games which featured two completely different squads.

Full-back Zane Kirchner remains in his position tomorrow following the Northampton match and is joined in the back three by wings Adam Hughes and Welsh international Hallam Amos.

The centre partnership sees Adam Warren, a try scorer in the 71-21 drubbing at Franklin’s Gardens last time out, joined by Jack Dixon, with fly-half Angus O’Brien and scrum-half Charlie Davies also given the nod.

Props Brok Harris and Dan Suter are named in the front row alongside hooker Gerard Ellis.

The second row is made up of locks Matthew Screech and Rynard Landman, while flankers James Thomas and Nic Cudd get an opportunity next to number-eight Robson Blake.

With the match being a pre-season friendly, Jackman has named an extended bench of 11 players.

Dragons: 15 Zane Kirchner; 14 Adam Hughes, 13 Adam Warren, 12 Jack Dixon, 11 Hallam Amos; 10 Angus O’Brien, 9 Charlie Davies; 1 Brok Harris, 2 Gerard Ellis, 3 Dan Suter, 4 Matthew Screech, 5 Rynard Landman, 6 James Thomas, 7 Nic Cudd, 8 Robson Blake.
