THE Shaftesbury Youf Gang have continued their summer programme with a trip to the Palace of Westminster.

The youth group were treated to a tour of the Palace of Westminster, which was arranged by Paul Flynn MP.

Mr Flynn met the Youf Gang earlier in the year and had extended an invitation for the gang to have an MP’s tour.

Richie Davies, of the group, said: "The lads were very excited and on arrival in London we proceeded to Parliament.

"Following the tour, we adjourned to the park next door, for a picnic lunch, and then continued with a walking tour of the sights. Taking in the London Eye,  The Ministry of Defence building and on to Whitehall.

"The lads enjoyed a stop at horse guards to witness a changing of the Guard, before proceeding along the Mall to enjoy the views of Buckingham Palace. We then took the return journey back to the mini bus and enjoyed the manic London traffic at rush hour."

The trip to London was the fourth out of eight activities this summer.

Next week the youth group is scheduled to undertake a tour of The Senedd.
