PUB company JD Wetherspoons will be launching a new menu this month in a bid to support Welsh farmers and suppliers.
The new menu will be available from Wednesday, September 6 at The Tom Toya Lewis on Commercial Street, The John Wallace Linton on Cambrian Road, The Queen’s Hotel on Bridge Street and The Godfrey Morgan on Chepstow Road, Maindee.
It will showcase a range of food and drink from suppliers across Wales as well as meat from Welsh farms, including Welsh dragon sausages.
First Minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones, said: “I am extremely proud of Wales’ high-quality food and drink, which is enjoying a growing reputation for excellence around the world.
“It is great news Wetherspoon’s will be showcasing food and drink from suppliers right across Wales.”
Wetherspoon’s general manager, Steve Edge, added: “It is a wonderful opportunity for our pubs to offer superb Welsh-produced products.”
