HUNDREDS of people attended the paw-some fun-filled Bussage Bear Hunt at the weekend.

The event, which ran from 2-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, raised a record £3,000 for Bussage Primary School.

It returned for a third consecutive year in the trusted paws of a small committee of parents.

Fortunately the weather did not turn grizzly and one of the organisers, Emma Seabrook was overjoyed with the event's success.

"The Bear Hunt was brilliant this weekend - we had around 350-400 families come and walk the route, and we raised just over £3,000 for the school, which is amazing - Our most successful Bear Hunt so far," she said.

"The tombola, face painting, and guess the name of the bear, were very successful, and we were virtually out of cake by the end of the weekend!"

The bear-rilliant event families follow a mapped route to find an array of individually-designed bears, which parents and pupils have spent weeks creating and are sponsored by businesses in the area.

This year's lineup featured the cool-as-a-cucumbear, recyla-bears, Mr Fur-guson, Pep-paw Pig and Back to the Fur-ture.
