Recently I was chosen to be one of 25 people from across the country to be a British Ambassador at the German Ministry of Science Seminar on Seas and Oceans which is taking place in Hamburg between 20th-22nd October.

The trip is supported by the Foreign Office, the British Council and the UK Science & Innovation Network.

As well as improving understanding of the importance of this topic, the seminar seeks to improve relations between young people in Great Britain and Germany.

The seminar itself will cover various topics such as the impact of rising sea levels and the implications of ocean litter on marine life.

I’m honoured to be picked for this role. It promises to be a fantastic experience in which I will be gaining invaluable information about climate change whilst proudly representing my country abroad.
