DANCE classes to support people with parkinson's have been launched at Blackwood Miners' Institute.
The Dance for Parkinson's programme, run by Caerphilly Theatre and Arts Service, will start on Wednesday, November 1.
Classes and training will be given by dance experts from National Dance Company Wales in association with English National Ballet.
The classes aim to develop confidence and strength, while temporarily relieving some of the symptoms of parkinson's.
Research shows dancing helps people with parkinson's communicate and express themselves, as well as other benefits.
Weekly classes will take place on Wednesday from 10am to midday, with the first session free and suitable for people with parkinson’s and their carers.
There are also opportunities to volunteer with the group, with training provided.
For more information on joining the group or to volunteer, please email artsdevelopment@caerphilly.gov.uk or call 078417 99947.
