A NEWPORT man has been arrested for "making threats to harm others" in Chepstow Road on Saturday.
Firearm officers and dog handlers were called to attend an incident in the city on October 21 and a 23-year-old man is currently in police custody.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: “At approximately 2.40pm yesterday – Saturday, October 21 – we received a report that a man had been making threats to harm others.
“A 23 year old man was arrested in the Maindee area of Newport and is currently in police custody.”
