A NEW micropub offering a variety of ales and ciders officially launched in Newport yesterday.
The Cellar Door Real Cider and Ale House is based on Clytha Park Road will be run by ex-librarian Paul Tully, 53, and partner Karen Jones.
Mr Tully, originally from Northern Ireland, has around 8 years experience working with cider festivals.
The pub was created by Mr Tully and retired engineer Chris Charters and the new business aims to provide an experience "free of distractions".
"We want to give Newport and this area something different. It's really exciting" Mr Tully said.
"There are over 60 independent cider producers in Wales and not a lot of people know that," he said.
