WELSH assembly costs have risen by 90% in a decade, BBC News, August 2017.
The UK industrial political machine grows ever larger, first we paid taxes to support Westminster, added on regional assemblies, added on police commissioners, added on lord mayors...what next?
It’s worth remembering that today we pay the politicians and civil servants individual salaries, tomorrow we pay their pensions.
For them the tax payers gravy train rolls on till death they depart
Are regional politicians, police commissioners and lord mayors more beneficial to their communities than nurses, teachers, police officers, and firefighters?
The cost for all comes out of, originally, the same tax filled public purse.
Our communities would be served better by ‘in your face’ viable local politicians.
