POLICE are hoping to identify a person who attempted to break into a Chepstow football clubhouse last month.
CCTV footage shows the person using a large hammer to try and break into the building at Thornwell FC’s ground.
The incident is said to have happened in the early hours of Monday, November 25.
A spokesman for the club told the Argus that nothing had been taken, adding: “It was just an attempted break-in, the alarm must have gone off and scared them away.”
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police confirmed that the person failed to take anything from the clubhouse and that they are looking to speak to anyone who may be able to identify the person in the footage from the clothing and items carried.
