FIREFIGHTERS were called to a raging skip fire over the weekend which created thick plumes of smoke that could be seen for miles.
The fire took place at near Pontymister Industrial Estate in the Risca area on Saturday.
One fire crew from Duffryn were called at 1.20pm and extinguished the fire by 1.56pm.
A South Wales Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said the fire is being treated as deliberate.
