SELL-OUT crowds are expected to pack into a Cwmbran school for a popular Christmas production.

Tickets are selling fast for Croesyceiliog School's production of School of Rock The Musical, which is being shown from Tuesday, December 19 to Thursday, December 21.

The festive production is one of the biggest events of the school year, with sell-out crowds of around 250 expected for each performance, starting at 7pm.

Money raised from the performances supports future projects at the school.

Neil Parker, musical director and head of music, said: "We have always been very lucky because we have a lot of support from the school and the community so we tend to sell out.

"It is a big thing in the school and it's a good opportunity for the school to showcase the talents that we have."

Around 40 pupils from Years 7 to 12 will be taking part in the rock musical with music by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Rehearsals started in September and excitement in the school is now growing.

Mr Parker added: "We have always had pupils who really get stuck in and really enjoy themselves which is always a positive for the shows."
