A PROVISIONAL trial date has been set for a man accused of the murder of 57-year-old Anthony Bubbins, who was found dead at a home in Newport.
Paul Paget, 54, of Brynderwen Road, Newport, has been charged with murder.
He has yet to enter a plea.
Appearing at Cardiff Crown Court today, Paget spoke only to confirm his date of birth, address and nationality.
James Wilson, prosecuting counsel, said Mr Bubbins was found dead on January 15.
A provisional trial date was scheduled for June 11, with an initial estimate of three weeks.
Paget was also charged with burglary and possessing a knife. He has yet to enter a plea to any of the charges.
He was remanded in custody.
