NEWPORT County AFC have announced that Jazzi Barnum-Bobb's contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

The 22-year-old made 51 appearances for the club after initially joining on loan from Cardiff City in October 2015 and then swapping the Bluebirds for County in the summer of 2016.

Barnum-Bobb scored three times for the Exiles, including a memorable individual goal against Alfreton Town in last season’s FA Cup run.

But he has made just two appearances under Michael Flynn this season and moved on loan to Torquay United in November.

A statement from the club said: "Jazzi has been a great ambassador for the club helping and supporting a number of community projects.

"He was also part of the wider squad that helped turn around the 2016/17 season during the Great Escape.

"Everyone at Newport County AFC would like to thank Jazzi for all his hard work whilst at the club and wish him the best of luck with all his future endeavours."
