PEOPLE across the country took a moment to mark the first anniversary of a terrorist attack.
There were services held in Manchester to pay tribute to the victims of the bomb which was detonated at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017.
People were able to leave personal messages on trees throughout the city centre.
Prince William and Theresa May joined families at the Manchester Cathedral service to remember the 22 people that died as a result of the attack.
Another 120 people were also injured.
In Gwent people observed the minute silence which took place at 2.30pm yesterday.
In Pontypool, Torfaen County Borough Council observed the minute silence and flags were at half-mast at the Civic Centre.
Newport and Monmouthshire councils also observed the minute silence.
