Music fan and Kymin boss Robin Hall said: “We’re always looking for new ways to show our support for St David’s Hospice Care which does such fantastic work throughout our community. We jumped at the chance to back Portstock 2018. We’re confident our backing for this inaugural event will hit the right note.

“It’s such a good idea to bring everyone together at Marvellous Tredegar Park to have fun enjoy great live music and support St David’s Hospice Care and all in one go.”

Kris Broome, of St David’s Hospice Care, said: “Portstock 2018 will be a festival of fun and a celebration of live music from Newport and the surrounding areas while raising funds to support the work of St David’s Hospice Care.

“We’ll have two stages of amazing musical acts ranging from acoustic artists to full rock bands. Bring the family along and enjoy an entire day of live music and entertainment. We’re thrilled to have the phenomenal Blackwood band Into The Ark as headliners on the day.

“There will be loads of activities to keep the little ones occupied, such as a climbing wall, funfair and workshops. If you need to refuel there will be a huge selection of food stalls to choose from and licensed bars serving cold alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
