GET your superpowers ready for a new event that will help raise vital funds for a hospice.

The Hospice of the Valleys have launched its latest event, the KAPOW Superhero Challenge.

People can take part in a short fun run, walk or crawl with giant inflatable obstacles in the setting of Parc Bryn Bach Tredegar, on Saturday, September 8.

The hospice are encouraging families, groups of friends or work colleagues, individuals and even groups of children to get involved.

Registration is open with some great family and team entry offers.

The hospice, which is based in Ebbw Vale but works throughout Blaenau Gwent, provided care for 612 patients last year, which was an increase of 20 per cent on the previous year.

Amanda Chard, events fundraising manager for the hospice, said: “It’s great to bring something different to Blaenau Gwent, a fantastic and exciting way for us to raise funds for the exceptional work our clinical staff do in supporting patients and their families living with a life limiting illness. We’ve made sure it’s accessible for people and families to participate also which is really important.”
