A BRAVE trio took part in a skydive to raise around £3,000 for a Gwent-based community organisation.
Janine Evans, Carole Dunleavy and Michelle Gwynne, members of Valley Daffodils, took the plunge at Skydive Swansea to raise vital funds for the group.
Caerphilly-based Valley Daffodils was set up by mum-of-two Ceri Hooper in 2016 for families of children of all disabilities and additional needs.
Ms Hooper said the money raised will be a huge boost to the charity.
She said: “We are a relatively new community organisation and any little amount helps.
“To raise £3,000 is like winning the lottery for us.”
Valley Daffodils regularly meets for coffee mornings and provides various activities.
Ms Dunleavy said the skydive was a memorable experience.
“It was amazing,” she said.
“Although I did wonder what I was doing as I dangled off the side of the plane . . . but once we jumped, the freefall was better than the fastest rollercoaster.”
