THREE people have been taken to hospital after what Gwent Police described as a "serious" crash in Blaenavon.
The crash happened on the A4043 Cwmavon Road shortly before 10.30am, Capel Newydd Avenue and the Cwmavon Works Office.
One person has been taken to Morriston Hospital in Swansea by the Wales Air Ambulance, and two others have been taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The A4043 was closed in both directions for more than four hours, with drivers asked to avoid the area if possible, while the emergency services dealt with the incident. It has now re-opened.
