POSITIVE notes have appeared on bridges in Newport with the aim of helping those feeling lost.
The laminated notes have been cable tied to Newport Bridge and direct readers to Samaritans’ suicide helpline.
Notes are reminders to those who may feel vulnerable that they are not alone, but the charity said they are not responsible for putting them up.
“If you are looking for a sign to live, this is that sign,” the notes say.
Similar messages have been spotted on bridges in Cwmbran and Pontypool.
“Don’t think you are alone. There are people who care. I care, “ is tied to a bridge in Cwmbran.
Each note has a washer between the paper and cable tie and is laminated, so they are less likely to be torn or damaged from rain.
