AFTER the recent heatwave the rain came as a relief to many, but the sun is set to return this week.
Rain will continue for the next few days, with spells of rain and sun expected today, while Wednesday is likely to be mostly dry with clear spells.
According to the Met Office, the weather is expected to be changeable until the weekend bit this weekend there will be plenty of sunshine across the region.

However, they warn that it could be breezy at times, and the wind will perhaps be accompanied by outbreaks of rain.
For many it will stay dry though, and by mid-August, the very warm or hot conditions in the south may also move into central areas.
Temperatures are expected to remain above average into next week, with spells of very warm or hot conditions expected.
