Transporter bridge
THE gondola at Newport Transporter Bridge will be closed for at least a week after breaking down this afternoon.
A tweet from the Transporter Bridge twitter account confirmed that: “due to a mechanical breakdown the Gondola will be out of action for at least a week.”
The rest of facilities at the bridge will remain open during this period.
Newport Council have been asked for comment.
