A GWENT council has drawn up a detailed £1million blue-print to let it's tenants know about the stock transfer process.
As reported previously Blaenau Gwent council has voted to ballot its tenants on plans to transfer all its housing to a social landlord.
The Welsh Housing Quality Standard has identified the need to invest £100 million over the next five years in the borough's housing stock.
There is currently a shortfall of £66 million and the council is proposing to follow the example of Torfaen and Monmouthshire councils and press ahead with a stock transfer.
The council's cabinet meets this week to approve the project management of the proposal which will outline how tenants, affected agencies and employees are kept up to speed with the issues.
The pre-ballot process, which will see information go out to all tenants, as well as a raft of meetings and specialist reports being drafted, will cost £1 million.
Councillors are expected to approve the arrangements tomorrow.
