CHARITY event organisers from Pontypool raised funds with a bang at this year's firework display.
More than 7,000 people showed up at Pontypool Park on Monday to watch the display organised by the Pontypool Round Table members.
The event raised some £15,000 for local charities.
Colin Guest, of The Pontypool Round Table was over the moon with the group's success.
He said: "We've been running the event for 30 years now and every year we are getting a bigger crowd.

"A lot of hard work went into the display and a lot of people gave up their free time to help organise it.
"We were very pleased t how successful the event has become."
Mr Guest added: "We would like to thank the people of Pontypool for supporting this event and is probably the largest in Gwent.
" We would like to thank Cwmbran Vale Rotary who helped on the gates, PontypoolRegeneration Partnership, DJ Les Paul, the staff in Pontypool Park and the Police."
