AN EXHIBITION of art made by people who have suffered from a stroke is taking place this week.

As many as 70 works from Chepstow Stroke Experience artists will be displayed in Chepstow Community Hospital until Friday.

Group treasurer Richard Beavis said the art on show is impressive.

He said: "It is really quite incredible.

"For many of the artists it is like they have found another voice."

It is the second such exhibition, after Chepstow Stroke Experience held its first a year ago.

The group, which meets at the community hospital, is made up of former stroke rehabilitation patients.

It organises weekly art classes as well as events, such as trips to the theatre and Slimbridge.
