Tredegar murder probe - man appears in court

A MAN has appeared in court, charged with the murder of Alan Brown.

Mr Brown, aged 45, of New Tredegar, died at Nevill Hall Hospital on May 5 after he was knocked unconscious outside the Tredegar Arms pub, on Morgan Street, Tredegar, on Sunday night.

Leon Wells, 25, of McLaren Cottages, Abertysswg did not enter a plea at Caerphilly Magistrates court this morning and will appear at Newport Crown Court on May 15 for a preliminary hearing.

He was remanded in custody.
