A MAN is to appear in court charged with dangerous driving after a motorbiking crash which left a Newport man injured.

Jacek Koziol, 24, from Denbighshire, will appear before a jury at Hereford Crown Court on September 9.

The court case follows a multiple vehicle collision on Fathers' Day crash last June on the A49 at The Callow, Herefordshire.

Malpas man Vince Kilgannon, 62, suffered a fractured wrist and dislocated shoulder in the crash on June 17 and still has difficulty walking due to a knee injury sustained in the collision.

In the same incident Mr Kilgannon's son Rory , 36, from Birch Hill, Malpas, was also in collision with another motorbike rider, Grzegorz Majewski, 29, of Hereford.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene after the two bikes collided.

Rory Kilgannon's brother Kieron, cousin Eoin and a friend were also in the group of bikes out for a ride when the crash happened.

An inquest held in Hereford last week cleared the late Rory Kilgannon of any blame in terms of causing the crash.

Recording a narrative verdict the coroner, David Halpern, concluded Mr Kilgannon died due to the poor and inappropriate riding of a motorbike by Mr Majewski and that Mr Majewski died becuase if his own poor and inappropriate driving of a motorbike.
