THESE photographs taken at Ynysddu Primary School in 1923 was found by a Nottingham man researching his wife’s family history.
Roy Ainscough, 73, wants to identify anyone in the picture alongside his late mother-in-law May Williams.
He has traced his own family back to 1660 and recently became interested in the background of his wife Jean, 67.
She was originally from Ynysddu and attended Ynysddu Primary School in the 1940s, which has since moved sites, but now lives in Nottingham.
Her mother lived in Mount Pleasant, Ynysddu, with her husband Edward until the 1980s, but passed away ten years ago.
Mr Ainscough has used the internet, libraries and the General Registry Office to trace her family back six generations to the late-18th century.
He is interested to hear from anyone who recognises any of the 11 and 12-year-olds in the photograph he found at his home.
Anyone with any information on the photograph can call Mr Ainscough on 01159 373419.
