The Christmas story is a love story. It is the story of how God so loved the world that he sent Jesus to be born in Palestine and to live among us.

But it is not just a love story to make us feel good about ourselves; it is a love story that should also inspire us to love the world. If we get the relationship between Creator and creation wrong, then we are lost.

There are various ways in which we can love the world. We have recently seen the world leaders and environmentalists meeting in Copenhagen to try to find a solution to reduce climate change which will have a catastrophic impact on many of the poorer nations.

We are called to ‘love thy neighbour’ and I have no doubt that there are the technological solutions to address climate change but as always will greed and pride get in the way? Zimbabwe was once the ‘bread basket’ of Africa and produced food for export.

Today, it is in the grip of long-term poverty and starvation caused by massive inflation, the destruction of agriculture and a brutal regime. It has one of the lowest life expectancies in the world.

A recent study has shown that Britain is the third most unequal society in the world and how inequality leads to greater crime, homicide, teenage pregnancies, obesity, mental illness, illiteracy and drug and alcohol addiction. Unequal societies lack justice and produce unhappy people.

In more equal societies people are less greedy and competitive and more constructive and happier.

For Jesus, justice was at the heart of his message about God’s love for the world.The challenge to all who follow the teachings of Jesus must be to put love into action through prayer, protest and example because if God so loved the world, then so should we.

The Bishop of Monmouth, Rt Revd Dominic Walker will expand on the theme in his sermon at the service in Newport Cathedral at 10.30am today.

Further proves that AGW Alarmism is not Science but a Religion based on Belief not FACTS!!
The Religion of Science is a Particular view or bias wich permeates a Scientific Community and Results in the Promulgation of Erroneous Conclusions. The Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) issue offers an apt example (as does Evolution, Big Bang, etc.). Some Scientists are Compelled towards their Bias not because of Scientific Reasons, but because they share a Political or Ideological Zealousy for Globalism, Marxism, Socialism, Progressivism, or Environmentalism. Others are Motivated, Conciously or Unconsciously, by their Need/Desire to Continue their Research and Receive GRANT MONEY. Some are Purely Motivated by the Financial Gain!!
The Humanist Manifesto 2000 offers an excellent glimpse into the Religion of Science by revealing a complete Doctrine of Aethistic Religion. Religion is defined as a Belief held to with Ardor... Humanism fits this Definition well even coming complete with Ceremonies, Symbology, Cathedrals (our Public Schools and Universities), and Priests (e.g. Professors/Teachers/
Lecturers).
Similarly, AGW has clearly become a Religious Following. Many People continue to Rigerously Defend AGW despite its pitiful "Scientific" Basis. It has Descended into Comedy in many instances with its Staunchest Allies proclaiming that Global Warming will cause Cooling.In order to keep their "Faith", the AGW Green Nazis point to every Climate event as further "Proof" of AGW while it may at best only be a proof that Climates Change. Furthermore, assuming that any anomoly in Climate is Proof of AGW first requires a Faithful Assumption that AGW is True - a clear indication of Deterministic Science. Of course, the University of East Angila Emails also show a Clear Political Motivation.. perhaps the Religion being Observed is more centered around Political Ideology than Climate Science..
Ultimately, the success of the Religion of Science is caused by the Failure to Educate our Children, and Past Generations, How to THINK instead of What to THINK!! We Stifle True Inspiration and Science by Constantly Attempting to first Teach others what they Should THINK if they are to be Responsible Members of Society rather than Teaching and Enabling them how to THINK!!
I suggest you reflect on your own Positions and Determine if they are based on Sound Provable Science, or Personal Belief!!
