SIX more women were arrested in connection with a suspected pyramid scheme operating in Monmouthshire.
The women were charged with having established, operated or promoted an unlawful pyramid promotional scheme, having invited another to join a chain gift scheme, and having knowingly participated in the promotion, administration or management of a chain gift scheme.
An Office of Fair Trading (OFT) spokesman said the alleged offences took place between September 2007 and April 2009.
Hazel Cameron, 50, Susan Crane, 63, Mary Nash, 61 and Jennifer Smith-Hayes, 65, all from Bristol, Laura Fox, 65, of East Harptree, and Carol Chambers 63, of Weston-Super-Mare, will appear at Bristol magistrates’ court on February 10.
The charges follow those brought by the OFT against five other women, who have already appeared in court.
