MATTHEW A Clarke took exception to his religious know-how being questioned by M Burcher (You Say, Wednesday, June 4).
Well, having an honours degree - acquired by whatever means - does not make one immune to bigotry or prejudice.
His letter accuses the Roman Catholic Church of teaching salvation through obedience to the church's dogma.
In view of the Second Vatican Council and the various Church's encyclicals that deals with Christ's teaching in relationship to our modern-day living, on what evidence does Mr Clarke base his accusations?
Mr Clarke provided no evidence when he accused Rome as the enemy of true Christianity.
Well again, the Church of England is a state religion. And in time of war, who does its followers obey - Christ or State?
