A CHARITY screening at a cinema is to be held in memory of a Monmouth soldier who was killed in Afghanistan last year.
Rifleman Jamie Gunn, 21, of 1 The Rifles, died on February 25, 2009 with two other officers after the Land Rover they were travelling in was caught in a blast.
His family and friends are holding a special screening of his favourite film “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” at The Savoy Cinema in Monmouth with all profits donated to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
His sister Jess Gunn, said: “This screening seems a novel and humorous way to show our love for him during Remembrance week and gives us an opportunity to support The Soldiers’ Charity which ensures that our soldiers and their families get the emotional and financial assistance that they deserve.”
The screening takes place on Friday November 19 at 8pm. Tickets are £5.
