WALKERS will take on a 14 mile route from Caerphilly Castle to Bettws Rugby Club in Newport today to raise money in memory of a local man.
The 14 walkers will start from the castle at 10am and will be dressed in Christmas fancy dress.
Outfits include Father Christmas, a snowman, a Christmas cracker and a Christmas pudding.
The walk will raise money for The Lymphoma Association in memory of 24-year-old David Murphy from Bettws who died from the illness three years ago.
A similar walk was held last year which started from Cardiff Castle and raised more than £2,000 for the charity.
Residents are encouraged to join the walkers at a fundraising event at Bettws Rugby Club from 7.30pm tomorrow.
This will include a disco, raffle and buffet.
Raffle prizes include a Tottenham Hotspur football shirt signed by Gareth Bale and a Sugar Ray Leonard boxing glove.
