A CHEPSTOW Garden Centre could create more than 50 full and part-time jobs if a proposal to expand the business is approved.
The owner of the Pwllmeyric-based business has asked Monmouthshire Council if it can create more retail and parking spaces on the site.
Plans include extending the existing garden centre to house a café and toilets and to connect an extended aquarium with the main building.
The proposal would see the number of jobs rise from 95 full and part-time to 150. Shoppers would benefit from 150 parking spaces, plus nine for the disabled, eight for coaches and 12 for motorcycles.
A further 60 spaces would be allocated to staff.
Monmouthshire council's planning committee has yet to consider the application.
