A NEWPORT social housing landlord developed proposals to improve the Pill neighbourhood over the next 12 months.
Following consultation with residents, Newport City Homes has come up with an action plan for t he area.
Proposals include improving street lighting and signage, litter picks and initially providing extra caretaker services.
The plan was launched at the landlord's Raglan Court Sheltered Scheme in Pill Board member Cissi Heale, who was bom and raised in Pill, spoke about a positive future for the area and noted the hard work of residents to rebuild community spirit.
Community regeneration manager Marc Fury said they are looking for anyone living in the Pill area, whether home owners, Newport City Homes residents or in private rental properties, to get involved.
