THE biker injured in this morning's Castleton crash is a 24-year-old Newport man, police said.
He collided with a van and is in a stable condition with leg injuries at the University of Wales hospital in Cardiff

Queueing traffic and partially blocked due to accident on A48 at Coal Pit Lane. Emergency services are attending to a collision near to the Coach and Horses pub. Traffic is reported to be queueing on both approaches.
9.50pm
The Welsh Ambulance Service control room said it was called at 8.10am and took the man to the University of Wales Hospital, Heath, Cardiff just after 9am.
Fire crews from Duffryn and Malpas made the vehicle safe and assisted paramedics.
9.20pm
A BIKER was involved in a crash on the A48 between Newport and St Mellons this morning. The rider is reported to have come off the motorbike outside the Esso garage in Castleton.
An eyewitness said that wreckage from the motorcycle was spread across the road.
The motorcyclist was lying in the road with his helmet still on, she said, and was being attended to by a paramedic.
