CRICKET clubs across Gwent have until the end of the month to apply for £10,000 grant money.
The £10,000 SWALEC Community Development Fund is open to clubs throughout Wales and provides match funding for clubs looking to buy new equipment, facilities or kit.
The scheme, run with Cricket Wales and Glamorgan Cricket, is aimed at improving the sport at grassroots level.
Jonny Petrie, head of sponsorship at SWALEC, said: “We can also provide funding for clubs looking to invest in energy- or water-saving devices or materials to upgrade their facilities.”
All clubs that apply for the Community Development Fund will receive free tickets for a Glamorgan Cricket fixture at either the SWALEC Stadium, St Helen’s, Swansea, or Colwyn Bay Cricket Club in the 2012 season.
The deadline for applications is May 31, to apply, visit www.glamorgancricket.com/swaleccdf
