IN HIS latest maelstrom of abuse, Terry Banfield is like an 11-year-old schoolboy sticking his tongue out: ‘Yabba dabba doo’. If I might paraphrase the Reformation scholar Castellio, “To abuse a man is not to establish any truth: it is to abuse a man. When Terry Banfield abuses me, he establishes no truth: he abuses me.”

I could fire some scientific information at Banfield and ask, “How does evolution account for that?” but he would pay no attention. His accusations against me are utterly false, and it is obvious that he has not read my letter defining what I understand by faith.

But is not his philosophy (it is not science) based on faith? He has still, after ten years, failed to answer the question, why do so many scientists reject Darwinian evolution as an explanation of the universe?
