WALES is one of the friendliest places in the UK, according to a recent survey.
More than a third of Welsh residents say they frequently smile and say hello to people in the street, going against the national average.
An impressive 68 per cent of Welsh people surveyed by the National Lottery Good Causes said they are happy to greet strangers, at least occasionally.
The survey, which interviewed a sample of 2060 adults between May 8 and 10, went on to say that 55 per cent of adults in the UK have run an errand or done a chore for someone outside their immediate family in the last month.
