Cwmbran choir, New Harmony Singers will be in the dock for the first time in over 30 years of delighting audiences across Wales and the world, when it performs at the Usk Sessions House on Saturday July 7th The Sessions House was designed by Thomas Wyatt and opened in 1877 by Samuel Richard Bosanquet, the chairman of the Monmouthshire Quarter Sessions. In 1944, Court No.1 was gutted by fire but Court No.2, still extant, is its mirror image and remained in use for the administration of justice until the last hearing by the Magistrates in 1995.

The mixed choir specialises in accessible favourites, ranging from classics such as Bach Gounod’s Ave Maria to modern favourites such as Adele hit, Make You Feel my Love.

Musical director Pam Guy commented: “It will certainly be a new experience singing in such an historic setting and the choir is really looking forward to it. All I can say is people who have tried our blend of music in the past have always returned a favourable verdict!”

The concert begins at 7pm pm and tickets are from Luke Farley on (07875) 009917.
