FANCY a night of star-spotting, rubbing shoulders with top celebrities who are raising funds for a Newport-based charity?

We have two VIP tickets to give away for the star-studded charity dinner being organised by former Wales rugby captain Gareth Thomas at the Celtic Manor Resort on July 14.

‘Alfie’ is nowpresident of the Gareth Thomas Foundation, set up by the rugby legend and Newport businessmen Daniel O’Connell and Clayton Richards to bring access to music and sport to disadvantaged youngsters.

It aims to provide free music tuition and sports coaching, as well as providing access to instruments and equipment.

Oscar-nominated actor Mickey Rourke, star of The Wrestler and Sin City, Newbridge world champion boxer Joe Calzaghe, rugby stars Martyn Williams and TomShanklin, presenter Gethin Jones and actor Tom Ellis will be at the dinner.

There will also be support from Mr Thomas’ Celebrity Big Brother housemates Natalie Cassidy, Frankie Cocozza, Nicola McLean, Kirk Norcross and Natasha Giggs, a performance by DJ and former Another Level star Dane Bowers, and our winners will also be rubbing shoulders with BBC Wales presenter Lucy Owen and her husband Rhodri Owen from the showX-Ray and Scrum V presenter Lisa Rogers.
