Pupils at Newport High School, Bettws, are celebrating after achieving their best results ever.
85 per cent of youngsters sitting exams achieved at least five A* to C grade, with 39.4 per cent getting five A* to C, inlcuding English and maths - 15 per cent up on last year.
Head teacher Karyn Keane described the results as "outstanding" and said she was "thrilled" at the pupils' achievements.
