Police appeal after street mugging
POLICE are appealing for information about a robbery on Chepstow Road, Maindee, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
At around 4.30am, a 22-year-old man was walking alone past the Dodger Public House, when he was approached from behind, pushed to the floor, punched and kicked.
The person stole his mobile phone and cash before running off along Caerleon Road.
The offender is described as a white male, under 25, with short hair and wearing a dark T-shirt.
