    I have never heard Flynn or for that matter anyone else who advocates the legalisation of Marijuana suggest it being used by adolescents. There's no doubt that the heavy use of any drug like alcohol or tobacco will lead to health problems."

A GWENT MP has been suspended from the House of Commons today after calling the secretary of state for defence Philip Hammond a liar.

Paul Flynn, MP for Newport West, made the comment following a statement on Afghanistan in the House of Commons.

Mr Flynn was given a chance to withdraw the statement. However he didn't and accepted the consequences of not doing so.

The suspension will last a day.

Mr Flynn is well known for his opposition to the UK's involvement in the Afghanistan conflict, and recently tabled parliamentary motions detailing the names of more than 400 dead soldiers
