A VALLEYS man has been remanded in custody after admitting robbery and possession of an imitation firearm during a raid on an Indian takeaway.

Kyran Peplar, 21, of Oakland Terrace, Crumlin, pleaded guilty to both charges when he appeared before Cardiff Crown Court yesterday.

Jacob Lee Loisz, 19, of Quantock Close, Risca, previously pleaded guilty to the robbery of Mohammed Udin of £300 on April 22 at the Taste of India, High Street, Pentwynmawr.

Daniel Burston, 23, of Llanarth Road, Pontllanfraith, denies the charge and will go on trial on October 15.

Judge Patrick Curran adjourned sentencing until the conclusion of this trial.
