A NEWPORT-BASED financial adviser who is serving a jail sentence pleaded guilty to two offences yesterday.
Jeremy Sage, 48, appeared from prison via video link at Cardiff Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice between December 5, 2011, and January 6, 2012, and forgery, using a false instrument, namely a tenancy agreement between May 31 and December 7, 2011.
Sage, of of Tair Gwaun, Penarth, is four months into a three-year and nine-month sentence for frauduently gaining nearly £250,000 from his clients to pay for his highliving lifestyle.
Julian Sage, 40, of Cardiff Road, Llandaff, Jeremy’s brother, has pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice and using a false instrument with intent namely a tenancy agreement.
Prosecutor David Elias said the Crown Prosecution Service will now consider whether to proceed with the case against Julian Sage, who is due to stand trial on December 4.
